We distinguish between test benches for the research of passenger car, commercial vehicle and range extender engines. The test facilities are located in test cells measuring up to 6 m x 9 m. Ten of these test benches are designed for an output of up to 300 kW and a further nine test benches for up to 600 kW. On all test benches, it is possible to install the engines, including the exhaust system, either longitudinally or transversely as required. The test environment can therefore cover a wide performance spectrum and take into account the subsequent installation method of the engines. Thanks to the spacious test bench design, the measurement technology required for the research projects can be arranged close to the test vehicle.
