Within the shielded compact antenna test range (CATR) antennas and antenna systems can be characterised with very high accuracy in a frequency range between 2 and 110 GHz. Furthermore, fully polarimetric radar cross section (RCS) measurements of objects up to 24 GHz can be performed. Lower frequencies are covered by an additional instrument set-up based on the spherical near-field far-field transformation principle.
