The optical 3D measuring devices ATOS from GOM and HandySCAN 700 from CREAFORM are used at the institute for contact-free 3D surface inspection of components. Comparisons between CAD models, simulation geometry and physical parts can thus be realized. Depending on the system, accuracies of up to 0.03 mm can be achieved.
