Short description of the instrument (max. 5000 characters):
Threshold-tracking technologies (TT and PTT) can be used to measure the excitability of human peripheral nerves via transcutaneous electrical stimulation. Threshold tracking is a sensitive electrophysiological technique used to assess nerve fiber excitability by measuring the minimum current required to elicit a response, thereby providing insights into small, large, and motor peripheral nerves. By altering the shape of the electrical stimulation, the excitabilities of the fibers' nerve membranes and channelopathies can be studied.
