A database of computational models to study peripheral nerves in humans. We and others have developed a multicompartmental computational model of peripheral nerves, which we have collected in a database. We have implemented models of Aδ, Aβ, and C fiber subtypes in the lab. The ion channels are described by HH dynamics, and the following ion channels are included: Nav1.6-NA1.9, KDr, KM, KA, and HCN. The database also includes models for different experimental settings, such as patch clamp, microneurography, and threshold tracking. Additionally, to the excitable cell membrane model, we have included Finite Element models to study skin properties.
